Expanded Learning Opportunity Program – Before & After School
Safe Passages is the Lead Agency for our new after-school Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELOP).
Before-School Care
- Drop off starts at 7:00 am
- Max enrollment of 40 students
- Students will have the opportunity to engage in activities that promote the development of social skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving
- Students will participate in small activities such as word searches, coloring, reading, etc.
After-School Care
The After School Program has three main components: Enrichment, Physical Fitness, and Academic Support.
Enrichment: A great enrichment program enables students to realize their potential in a variety of settings beyond the classroom, allowing them to pursue subjects that are of interest to them. Previously facilitated enrichment activities includes arts & crafts, gardening, sports, cooking, and more!
Physical Fitness: Outdoor play is a critical component of healthy child development. Time spend outside can lead to better physical and mental health, improved sleep and cognitive, social, and emotional gains for young children. Structured outside time includes student-led games, class competitions, and more. We encourage child exploration and curiosity.
Academic Support: The academic block focuses on strengthening students’ academic skills, setting up the potential for long term success in life and in school! Although the program offers homework support, they cannot guarantee that all homework will be completed.
Bobcat Bridges utilizes the same Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) guidelines as Chabot Elementary to help children manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
Pick Up
Note the two set times for preferred pick up: 4:15 – 4:30 pm and 5:30 – 6:00 pm. These times provide the least disruption to the student activities and classes. We can accommodate other pick up times if needed.

*Unduplicated Criteria includes any student that falls under one or more of the following criteria: Free or Reduced Priced Meals (FRPM), Foster, Migrant, Unhoused, English Language Learner
**Families with multiple children in the program, school staff, and families with financial need qualify for fee reduction.
